iPresence has been developed in collaboration
between faculty members with ultrasound and
telemedicine expertise at Worcester Polytechnic
Institute and Boston University, Microsoft Research
Labs, and Software by iPixCel, an Oklahoma City
based company, devoted to solutions to wireless
video streaming needs. This solution was designed
using the Terason T3000 software development kit and a
portable Terason T3000 Ultrasound device using the
Terason Ultrasound software version 4.6.2 supplied by
Terason.
Abstract
This software solution addresses real time acquisition
of high speed ultrasound image loop, composed
of ultrasound and digital images from Terason
T3000 ultrasound device, combined with the output
video feed from web camera, TotalExam camera,
for real time transmission using wireless networks.
Built around a rugged small portable ultrasound
machine (Terason T3000) and TotalExam medical
camera, Windows software solution offers practical
and high performance solution to the acquisition,
compression and transmission of ultrasound image
