Telemedicine application introduced by Software by iPixCel

New solutions for Telemedicine, Emergency Medicine and Remote Global Viewing

Software by iPixCel and ImagiSonix are pleased to announce a new product, iPresence™ -U/E and ChaserView™, which enables global real-time video streaming from a PC-based mobile platform, along with two-way voice communication. iPresence™ adapts and optimizes video streaming for a variety of options including cell (3G, 4G)_ Wi-Fi, or satellite (Inmarsat BGAN) despite highly dynamic wireless streaming environments around the world. Our highly efficient solution can also be modified to run on other mobile platforms.

iPresence™ solution using research codec from Microsoft Research Lab designed for wireless networks:

iPresence™ is ideally suited for Telemedicine, Emergency Medicine and Remote Global Viewing applications. Our Telemedicine configuration streams over wireless and wired networks with high fidelity, thus permitting remote consultation and diagnosis to be made simply and inexpensively almost anywhere without expensive dedicated land lines. Both a portable ultrasound system and a high resolution exam camera can be included to stream ultrasound image loops or camera sequences in real-time. iPresence™ has been tested with the Terason t3000 ultrasound system and with the TotalExam™ camera output from GlobalMedia, but our solution is readily adapted to other ultrasound and camera video streams. Our approach also has the option of uploading captured video streams for later retrieval and better image quality under challenging network conditions.

iPresence™ has been developed in collaboration between faculty members with ultrasound and telemedicine expertise at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Boston University, Microsoft Research Labs, and Software by iPixCel, an Oklahoma City based company, devoted to optimal wireless video streaming solutions.
